Karibu!

Welcome, and thank you for joining us on this journey to Kenya. The Seeds of Grace team will be in Meru partnering with the Miriam Kanana Mubichi Foundation (MKMF) and PEMA. Grace United Methodist Church representatives will spend a week in Maua at the Maua Methodist Hospital. Don't just follow along - please participate! Post us notes and we will do our best to keep you engaged while we are there. Together we create a nurturing environment of hope and opportunity for orphans and families with vulnerable children due to poverty and disease.

So Much To Share!

This is our first opportunity to use the internet!  As a quick overview...Sunday we enjoyed a church service at St. Peters Methodist Church.  We were welcomed with song and dance!  We have felt loved and cared for every step of the way.  God is good all the time..!  It is so fun to be back in Kenya after 5 years.  The country is so green and beautiful.  The weather is sunny and warm...the stars shine bright at night.  Most importantly, the community of people is very welcoming, caring and loving.  Monday and Tuesday we've worked at the Kaaga Primary School painting a mural at the library, painting new latrines, reconstructing a floor in a classroom.  Today, we visiting PEMA children at two school and three of their homes.  We are doing very well, a little tired, but very happy to be here!  Love you all, Julie.

  1. The people at St. Peters were so sweet. I'd love to worship with them anytime. It doesn't seem like 5 years ago! If you get a chance, give them my love.
Enjoy the children. I miss their huge smiles. Blessings to all.
We had a light snow today.

  2. Hello to all of you!
I was glad that you arrived safely and without any problems. You're missing the snow here - the groundhog didn't see his shadow and ran back to his home. That's may mean an early spring!!! My husband, Steve, always celebrated Groundhog's Day.
Take care and give all of them my blessing. Margaret
