We have made great progress at the Kaaga Primary School! The Seeds of Grace team has been working with a team of people from Oklahoma, Iowa, Texas and Minnesota. They are a wonderful group of people and it's been good sharing this experience. The parents of the students have also been very involved in the projects at the school. We drove out to St. Lucy School for the Blind in the afternoon. This is the only boarding school for the blind in the Eastern Province of Kenya. Not only are they working to educate, train and protect these children, but also helping to break the barrier of stigma that is associated with children with disabilities. The children were so happy in their school. While we visited with them on the lawn they spontaneously sang to us with joyful hearts! It was very moving. We have truly experienced the Spirit of God among us this week! Shannon and Mark are fantastic photographers and have been documenting all of our activities. We've shared so much as a small team...tears and laughter! Photos will be added soon!! Julie

Julie,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see what you are up to. I'm so proud of you. It's cold and grey here and tomorrow night all the book club girls are going down to the big smoke for a few drinks- I'll make sure we all raise a glass to you. Keep up the good work and bring home lots of photos and stories. I'm sure we will have a few to share too.
Miss you- enjoy the sun, Felicity xoxoxoxoxoxox
